What is chiropractic?

Chiropractic is a form of manual therapy which focuses closely on the relationship between the nervous and musculoskeletal (bones, joints, & muscles) systems. What’s unique about chiropractic is that it utilises a variety of techniques, called adjustments, which promotes better functionality of the relationship between the nervous and musculoskeletal systems. Soft tissue and mobilisation techniques are also used in conjunction with adjustments for the most beneficial outcome. While it is true chiropractors are experts of the spine we also treat all other joints in the body all the way to the hands and feet!

What is an adjustment?

An adjustment is a specific, quick and controlled force that is applied to a joint that aims to reduce movement restrictions, decrease pain and improve joint functionality. These adjustments also allow relief from tension that may be placed on surrounding muscles and nerves. During an adjustment, you may hear a “crack”, “pop” or “click” sound, known as a cavitation which is completely normal and safe. It is important to know that a cavitation does not need to occur for an adjustment to have maximal benefit.

Where is the clinic located?

SANS SOUCI

Located at Suite 4/2A Russell Ave, Sans Souci, NSW, 2219 within the G.A.E building. Please note entry to the clinic is through the back of the building via the Jameson Lane entrance. Please look for the signage and walk up the stairs to enter the clinic. Please be mindful of our neighbours when entering the clinic. We are directly opposite from Supabarn Sans souci.

Is there parking at the clinic?

Yes, there is plenty of street parking available on Russell Ave. Alternatively there is a free 2hr car park within the Supabarn across the road.

What are your prices?

Prices at Seib Chiropractic are as follows:

• Initial consultation - $110

• Short consultation - $70

• Standard consultation - $80

• Exercise rehabilitation consultation - $90

• Private Clinical Reformer Pilates 45 minutes - $90

What should I expect on my first visit?

Your first consultation will be an hour long which will include a full history and thorough physical examination in order to understand your injury/condition. We will also advise the next steps for your management and if you will require further scans or investigations. Treatment will also be done provided there are no contraindications making it unsafe to do so.

Do you accept private health cover?

Yes we do! At Seib Chiropractic we use HICAPS to process private health claims. We are also able to process and accept medicare care plans.

Do I need a GP referral?

No, you do not. As we are primary allied health providers, you are free to book at any time for a consultation at your convinence.

Do I need an X-ray or other scan?

Each individual is different and each injury/condition is variable. In short we usually need to do a thourough physical examination and will advise you on whether a scan will be required. If you have previously had scans relevant to your injury/condition we encourage you to bring them into your consult as the extra information is helpful.
